so I could have two different shotboxes on the index page?
I did try to install yours and had a problem so I deactivated yours and my original shoutbox was no longer there and I had to activate it again, then all my shouts were gone.

It's hard to say what could have went wrong there and whether or not you can use the both. I think I pretty much used unique names that can't conflict with another shoutbox. Anyway, which shoutbox were you using earlier?

I'm currently using this one. Your shoutbox wasn't showing up on my board for some reason. It could have been user error, but I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure I followed your install directions to the "T".
If it wasn't showing on the board index, it's pretty likely you didn't follow the instructions correctly, or it should've at least shown the shoutbox table on the index, even if it didn't load.
Second, I have tested my shoutbox along that one, and there are no conflicts. Unless you disabled the other plugin or something else went wrong, the data of that shoutbox cannot be lost. Do you remember the steps you performed, we can troubleshoot based on that.
